Department of Production Animal Health

This department will support those areas related to the health management of production animals, including population and individual animal veterinary medicine of production animals. Disciplines that might be represented in the department include, but are not limited to: epidemiology, population health, internal medicine, production animal herd health, surgery, pathology, immunology, microbiology, virology, parasitology, physiology, theriogenology, anatomy, clinical pharmacology.

Mission
"Advance the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of diseases and enhance the wellness of production animals through education, research and outreach".

Department of Ecosystem and Public Health

This department will support those areas that address the interface of human health, animal health, and the environment. Zoonotic diseases and food safety will be important components of the department. Disciplines that might be represented in the department include, but are not limited to: ecosystem health, public health, epidemiology, toxicology, pathology, population health, wildlife disease, infectious diseases, conservation medicine, microbiology, virology, parasitology, animal health policy and service.

Department of Comparative Biology and Experimental Medicine

This department will support the investigative medicine area, including comparative biomedical research, clinical experimental medicine (equine, companion animal, laboratory animals), and laboratory and exotic animal medicine. Disciplines that might be represented include, but are not limited to: physiology, clinical pharmacology, medicine and surgery, laboratory animal medicine, immunology, microbiology, virology, anatomy, pathology, clinical pathology, molecular and cellular biology.

Department of Veterinary Clinical and Diagnostic Sciences

This department will be support those areas related to equine and companion animal health and general diagnostic sciences. Disciplines that might be represented include, but are not limited to: equine medicine and surgery, companion animal medicine and surgery and associated disciplines, clinical pharmacology, general pathology and clinical pathology, anatomy, physiology, microbiology, clinical toxicology.
