Department of Comparative Biology & Experimental Medicine

Welcome to the Department of Comparative Biology and Experimental Medicine. We are a group of interdisciplinary faculty interested in understanding fundamental problems in biology and translating these finding to both veterinary and human medicine. Our faculty members are located primarily in the Foothills Campus of the University of Calgary. The Foothills campus houses both the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and the Cumming School of Medicine. Our department has both a teaching and research mission and our faculty contribute to teaching undergraduate students in the DVM program and other programs at the University of Calgary. In addition, our members supervise graduate students across a variety of disciplines including virology, regenerative medicine, neuroscience, and parasitology.
