Help make spring convocation a memorable experience for graduands and their families

With nearly 7,000 students graduating this spring in UCalgary’s Class of 2025, the university has expanded its spring convocation ceremonies to 11 consecutive events, an increase of two from spring 2024. This growth not only reflects the university’s increasing student success but also marks a significant moment of institutional progress.

The spring ceremonies will take place from June 3–10 in the Jack Simpson Gymnasium, and most days will have both a morning and afternoon ceremony. During this period, more than 5,000 graduands will walk across the stage and take their place as a UCalgary alum, a growing community of more than 225,000.

With this growth in mind, we would greatly appreciate your support during convocation to make this experience for our graduands and their guests unforgettable. You can sign up to support your favourite faculty, graduand or take part throughout the entirety of convocation if you prefer. Many roles and shifts are available and complementary refreshments will be provided. Please ensure you have the support of your manager before signing up to help.

Alumni can find information on how to volunteer here while everyone else can register here.
