2023 Equine Asthma Standardization Workshop

You are invited to participate in the 2023 Havemeyer Standardization workshop being held from April 2 - 5, 2023 at Barcelona, Spain.

In an effort to continue the work initiated at the last workshop in Custer, South Dakota, USA in 2019, the Equine Asthma Group is organizing this workshop to present the result of systematic reviews of the literature around several main topics:

1. Environmental factors associated with equine asthma;
2. Clinical scoring systems;
3. Airway cytology methods;
4. Pulmonary function testing;
5. Mucus scoring;
6. Exercise testing.

Goal

The goal of the 2023 Standardization Workshop is to use these results to stimulate productive discussions among researchers and clinicians from around the world who are actively investigating airway inflammation, as well as leading equine practitioners, in order to generate a standard diagnostic approach for asthma in horses and provide future research directions.
