Who We Are

The Calgary Association of Vetertinary Students (CAVS) is a group of student leaders advocating for students enrolled in the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program at the University of Calgary.

What We Do

CAVS provides social, financial and educational support for DVM students and are committed to help students achieve their goals throughout the program.

We advocate for the student body within faculty councils to reinforce the best learning environment for current and future DVM students.

The city of Calgary is situated on the traditional Blackfoot territory named "Mohkinstsis". CAVS would like to acknowledge the traditional territories of the people of the Treaty 7 region in Southern Alberta, which includes the Blackfoot Confederacy (comprising the Siksika, Piikani, and Kainai First Nations), as well as the Tsuut’ina First Nation, and the Stoney Nakoda (including the Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Wesley First Nations). The City of Calgary is also home to Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3.
