One Health Research Group
A transdisciplinary approach to address issues that emanate from the interaction of animals, humans, and their environment
The One Health Research Group (OHRG) at UCVM emphasizes the interconnectedness of human, animal, and environmental health. This multidisciplinary research initiative brings together experts from veterinary medicine, human medicine, environmental science, and public health to address complex health challenges. The group’s focus includes the prevention and control of zoonotic diseases, antimicrobial resistance, and the impact of environmental changes on both human and animal populations. By integrating expertise across disciplines, the One Health Research Group aims to develop holistic, sustainable solutions that improve the health of all species and ecosystems. The group’s collaborative efforts ensure that health issues are approached from a broader, systems-based perspective, fostering innovation and impactful outcomes in global health.
