We warmly invite you to join the One Health Journal Club!

The journal club is open to all students, faculty and staff, and meets on a monthly basis to discuss a One-Health-focused article. Participants are welcome to join in person or online. Please contact kayla.strong@ucalgary.ca to receive further information or to be added to the mailing list.

External Events

The CVMA Canadian Veterinary Medical Association and the AVMA Animal Welfare Assessment Competition (AWJAC) will be held in Raleigh, North Carolina the weekend of November 18-20th 2022. The AWJAC is an educational tool for enhancing understanding and awareness of welfare issues affecting animals used for human purposes (e.g., agriculture, research, companionship).

The Advancing Women Conference (AWC EAST 2022), the largest leadership conference for women in ag, will be held in person on November 20, 21& 22, 2022 at the Sheraton Fallsview in Niagara Falls. We are now accepting applications from students to be sponsored to attend.  The sponsorship will cover their registration fee and 2 nights accommodation at the host hotel, the Sheraton Fallsview.  Their only expense is getting to the conference.  Deadline for application is  October 15, 2022.  Sponsorship is limited.

The American Association of Veterinary Medical Colleges (AAVMC) is pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for faculty and students to share their work and ideas during the Catalyze 2023 Conference, March 9-11, 2023, in Washington, D.C. Proposals for educational sessions should be submitted no later than September 1, 2022.
