Grazing Lease Recreational and Hunting Access
The University of Calgary lease grazing lands from Her Majesty the Queen in right of the Province of Alberta under a Grazing Lease Agreement. In order to access these grazing leases for recreational purposes, including hunting, you will need to complete the appropriate documentation below. Only individuals holding a Permit issued by the University of Calgary may enter these lands.
Please note that when you access an agricultural grazing lease, you are required to comply with the responsibilities of a recreational user (see https://www.alberta.ca/recreation-on-agricultural-crown-land-overview.aspx as well as the Wildlife Act) and the Conditions for Accessing Grazing Lease Lands (see page 2 of the Access Request Forms below). Please ensure that you have reviewed these responsibilities prior to complete the appropriate Access Request Form below.
NOTE: There can be multiple users on a Grazing Lease area at the same time, including hunters. Hunting is an inherently dangerous activity and going on to these lands can expose the user to a variety of risks, natural and man-made. Be aware of your surroundings and take appropriate safety precautions. You are entering these lands at your own risk.
