Welcome to the University of Calgary Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (UCVM), Canada's fifth accredited veterinary college.
The establishment of UCVM was announced by the Province of Alberta in 2004. The first faculty members were recruited in 2005 and the first graduate students started in 2006. The first DVM class started in September 2008.
Fully funded by the Province of Alberta, UCVM is committed to meeting the animal and public health needs of the province through its educational, research and outreach programs. Please explore our website to find out more.
