Airflow Studies

In order to gain a greater understanding of the trajectory of airflow in the equine nasal passage, a 3D computer model was created. Airflow patterns and pressure changes were modeled at various flow rates using computational fluid dynamics (CFD). Computational results were then validated using experimental data obtained from a life-size 3D printed model (STL file available here).
