Emma Ohirko
Marketing Communications Coordinator
Emma is a communications specialist with a strong editorial background in agricultural writing and food publishing. She earned her BA in Food, Agricultural and Resource Economics from the University of Guelph, and completed her master's in Publishing Studies at the University of Stirling. She supports The Simpson Centre's research team through digital and print campaigns that disseminate and mobilize their findings and recommendations.
After years editing a Canadian farming publication, Emma moved to the UK to deepen her communications experience, assisting the management of a small press in Scotland, and later serving as Content & Events Manager for a thought leadership communications agency in London.
Her lifelong love of cooking fuels her passion to share and uplift the stories behind our food and those who produce it.
