Your Camp Leaders!

Emma
Hi everyone, I hope you are excited for camp because I know we are! My name is Emma and I am a second-year vet student at UCVM. I finished my bachelor's degree in environmental science at the University of Western Ontario but I am from Calgary so I am glad to be back. I love veterinary medicine so I have many interests, some of which include small animals, exotics, zoo and wildlife medicine. Right now, I have 2 guinea pigs named Ahlyn and Lance and my family dog named Pepper who is a Miniature Schnauzer. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, camping, skiing, and painting! I’m excited to meet you all and share what we know about vet med so far!

Emily
Welcome to camp everyone! I am a second-year veterinary student here at UCVM. I have a golden retriever named Lucy who loves the water, so summer is her favourite time! Before becoming a vet student, I completed a BSc. in Biological Sciences at the University of Lethbridge. Currently I am interested in rural mixed animal veterinary medicine with an emphasis on large animals. I am excited to meet you all and begin learning about all that veterinary medicine has to offer!

Claire
Hi everyone! Welcome to Vet Camp, we’re so excited to spend the next week with you all! My name is Claire, I’m a second-year veterinary student here in Calgary. Before vet school, I completed my undergraduate degree at Queen's University in Biology. In my free time I enjoy getting out to the mountains skiing, biking, hiking, and camping – especially with my mum’s Rottweiler “Bob” (don’t let her name deceive you, she’s a big princess). I’m interested in exploring all areas of veterinary medicine as I'm not sure what type of vet I want to be yet. Can’t wait to meet you all and start learning about vetmed together!
