Having Guinness has been an extraordinary 13 year journey. In spite of having countless health challenges her entire life, including fighting bladder cancer the last 4 years, Guinness lived with jaunty exuberance, prancing like a horse so that people stopping their cars to call out "What a beautiful dog!" was a regular occurrence right up to the day before she died. Unfailingly gentle with children and seniors, howling like a timber wolf in answer to passing sirens, maneuvering like a merry pirate to always get what she wanted, and always gracious to our wonderful vets and techs, she altered my soul. We miss our brave, beloved, and beautiful, pirate souled Guinness.
