Tiago
Tiago gave us 15 wonderful years of love and companionship. He started life as a street dog in Mexico, where he was hit by a car, fractured his femur, but was lucky enough to be rescued and treated surgically by the SPCA in Puerto Vallarta before coming to Canada when he was three months old.
Although he only understood Spanish when he arrived, he was smart and quickly learned English, and was incredibly easy to train. Tiago enjoyed everything in life except car rides. He loved all the people he met, except those wearing fluorescent uniforms, made friends with all the dogs and cats in the neighborhood, and even tried to make friends with a couple of coyotes and live to tell the tale.
Unfortunately as he aged, he developed worsening heart failure, and eventually we had to make the difficult choice to let him go. Tiago will never be forgotten. He was such a “good boy”.
