For 16 years, Wake filled our home with boundless joy and a happiness that was entirely his own. 

Wake had a gift for making every moment feel like a celebration but nothing compared to the excitement of the school bus arriving. 

Wake would come bounding down to meet the kids, tail  wagging, and make off with their hats like the proudest thief in the world.

When Wake wasn’t patrolling, the bus stop, Wake could be found living his best life on the water. Wake would hop right onto the tube and ride with ears back and nose to the wind, the happiest soul on the lake.

Wake loved people with his whole heart. He had no strangers, only friends he hadn’t stolen a hat from yet.

Wake spirit was pure, playful, and utterly contagious, the kind of joy that stays with a family long after the leash is hung up for the last time.

Wake was more than a pet. He was the heart of our home.
