2023 | UCVM Awards

The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (UCVM) at University of Calgary threw an epic grad reception and awards ceremony on the evening of May 29 to honor the graduating Class of 2023, and it was a night to remember! With Dean Renate Weller and Associate Dean of Student Experience Angelica Galezowski leading the charge, the event was packed with music, delicious cakes, a fantastic photo booth, and tons of fun for everyone. The cherry on top? Cale Toews, the valedictorian, delivered a speech that left everyone laughing and inspired.

Dean Renate Weller took to the stage to express her pride and admiration for the Class of 2023, acknowledging their perseverance and commitment to the field of veterinary medicine. Congratulations to all those who were recognized at the UCVM Award’s Night. The evening was held in person for the first time since the pandemic and the bright shining stars of the many accomplishments of our faculty, students and staff were apparent.
