Professor Speaks at the Standing Committee on Public Safety and National Security
Professor Michael Nesbitt will be speaking today to Parliament's Standing Committee on Public Safety and National Security on the topic of reforming Canada's national security laws.
Professor Michael Nesbitt will be speaking to the Parliament's Standing Committee on Public Safety and National Security, who are currently conducting a cross-Canada tour. The mandate of the Committee on Public Safety and National Security is to review the policies, programs and expenditure plans of government departments and agencies responsible for public safety and national security, policing and law enforcement, corrections and conditional release of federal offenders, emergency management, crime prevention and the protection of Canada's borders.
Professor Nesbitt will be speaking about the reform of Canada's national security laws at this meeting, including the Government's review of Bill C-51.
