Biography

I completed my PhD training in neuroscience at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, with the main work published in the journal Nature, and was awarded the prestigious Young Investigator Award. I did postdoctoral training at the National Institutes of Health of the United States, focusing on neurological disorders. I started my faculty position at the University of Calgary in June 2021. My group is investigating the mechanisms underlying neurodevelopmental disorders such as Fragile X Syndrome and autism in rodent models, and has developed experimental therapeutics that can reverse the disease-modeling phenotype.
