Our Shadow,

We brought home Shadow as an 8-month-old kitten on January 2014. She immediately captured our hearts with her energetic and social personality. She would play catch with my 5-year-old daughter in the back yard or around the house, or spend hours in the garden hunting dragonflies and birds. Inside she zipped around chasing toys and climbing everything, always ready for the next adventure. She was a true free spirit, brave and optimistic; when we had to moved to a condo she was willing to walk on a leash just to be close to nature.

We will miss her curious eyes as she shared the coffee table with us playing board games or chess. Home-work time was her favorite, as she would insert herself into the situation, demanding attention. During quiet moments she would curl up in a lap to join in watching movies or purr like a lawnmower for more pets. She was always part of the family and would carve out a place in every setting.

We will never forget her kind heart and sweet company. Her memory will live forever in our heart and soul.
